During its action-packed couple of hours, The Incredible Hulk hinted at possibilities for the villain in its inevitable and well-deserved sequel.
First, when Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) rediscovers the love of his life, he finds Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) dating a psychiatrist named Leonard Samson (Ty Burrell) -- or Doc Samson to Hulk fans. Though Samson wavers between friend and enemy in the Hulk comics, he'd have reason to hate Banner for taking his woman away.
Meanwhile, Banner seeks a cure for his mutation from the eccentric scientist, Samuel Sterns (Tim Blake Nelson). In the aftermath, it seems some gamma ray-tainted blood splattered him in the cranium sending Sterns on his way to becoming The Leader, Hulk's super-intelligent nemesis.
In press materials leading up to Comic-Con, director Louis Leterrier reported that he wants the fans to help decide who the villain will be -- hoping the crowd response at the event's Hulk panel will show what comic readers and movie lovers want to see.
