Description

Cala Luna is located on the border between Barbagia and Ogliastra and is considered one of the most beautiful beaches not only in Sardinia but in the whole Mediterranean Sea, both for its pristine landscape and for the color of its waters, with the classic blue shades of the Gulf of Orosei. The crescent-shaped beach stretches for about 700 meters. On the north side there are five caves that can be accessed on foot and are a climbing destination for climbers or a refuge for those looking for some shade during the hottest hours of the day. The seabed is a mixture of sand and pebbles. The beach is accessible by land only from the nearby Cala Fruili with a distance of four kilo meters. For those traveling with children or people with disabilities it is advisable to reach it by sea.
