Description

The Island of Spargi is part of the Maddalena Archipelago and is located in the north-eastern part of the Sardinia coast. It is a granite island with lush vegetation, beaches with white sand and emerald waters, make this place a true paradise. Cala Corsara (where the wreck of a Roman ship is located), Cala Connari and Cala Granara are the most popular. At the beginning of the 19th century, a bandit hid to escape prison and when his innocence was proved, he decided to stay on the island and together with his family they decided to raise goats and cows. In the surrounding seabed the remains of a Roman ship from the 2nd century BC have been recovered. C. which are exhibited at the Naval Museum of La Maddalena.
