These birds are called Red Creasted Pochard. Every year during winter, they migrate and come to Bangladesh which is warmer in temperature. Large flocks of the birds swim and eat fishes along with grains from the waterbodies of the country.

Binomial name Netta rufina Larger than a pochard, the male has an orange-brown head with a red beak and pale flanks. Females are brown with pale cheeks.A wheezing veht call can be given by the male. Series of hoarse vrah-vrah-vrah calls can also be heard from females.
