interesting, forgot to tell you i found an actual book on camels, "The camel" its evolution, ecology, behavior, and relatonship to man, its a great book, was printed in 1981, got it at the library discard book sale. i was like O.O must have!!
Their shieth points backwards to keep sand out as they lay down on their stomaches? I know I probibly shouldnt ask but curiosity killed the cat. And satisfaction brought him back.
All camelids sheaths point backwards, and it may have something to do with the fighting teeth in all of them, but in camels, it allows males to mark or even to deter when upset with flicking of urine about.
