This Clam Shell Drum Magazine is different from other current options on the market. It is the only Drum Magazine that is being machined from billet Aluminum. It is a Clam Shell design which offers a few unique benefits. You open the lid and place the rounds in the magazine, verse loading one at a time from the top. This allows you to load the magazine under almost no spring pressure. So both the feed lips and the spring are not under a load. Once you are ready to use the magazine, simply wind up the spring and you are ready to shoot. If you decide you don’t want to shoot, you open the lid and press the detentionaire button which unwinds the main spring. This means the magazine can sit in your safe for a lifetime fully loaded, with no wear or stress on the main spring and feed lips. We have designed this magazine with the same precision and care that are given to weapons, this is a generational item that is designed to be handed down.

The main design intent was inspired by the Narino Drum Mag. We took a design from the Chinese Company Norinco and brought it up to the current standards, and quality that the American AR-15 community has come to expect. Unlike other companies we want every citizen regardless of what state you live in to own one of these. If you live in a state or city with a magazine restriction, give me a call. We are currently working on a pinned 10 round version. We are also working on compiling a list of non-mil spec AR-15’s that the magazine is compatible with. If there is enough interest we will work on a 300 blackout version, however at this point and time it only works with 5.56/.233 caliber rounds.
