dB Drag UK at the GTi Show

On June 27 and 28 next 2009 dB Drag UK is once again turning up at the GTi show – home of all things VW – to show that you don’t need coil-overs to lower a car.
A ruddy great wall of subs should do it.
The show is being held at the Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground and last year dB Drag competitors managed to set off the noise limit sensors that are placed around (some way from) the perimeter! dB Drag might just be parked a bit further away from them this year…
For this one, we are promised that the full variety of dB Drag people will turn up. From the balls out, world championship contenders doing frankly ludicrous numbers to the frankly ludicrous daily driven cars that these nutters go and get their shopping in.

And let’s not forget, dB Drag isn’t just “BARRRRPPPP!” (although, those cars are insane) there’s BASSRACE as well. The Modified Nationals show once again proved that you don’t have to have a clue what you are doing. Turn up, get a quick lesson. Go on to win! It’s all about control of the system and control of your nerves. Head to head and the pressure is on. Thirty seconds of raw nerves, bass and regular competitors busting out (that’ll be me).
Saturday is a cool and relaxed day of qualifying and test and tune. The guys at UK dB Drag are on hand to help you out getting your car measured, and give you advice if you ask them to. Sunday is a bit more qualifying, then the knockouts, semi finals and finals. It’s busy. It’s loud. It’s brilliant. Let’s just hope it’s sunny!
New to dB Drag? Worried about rules? Worried about anything? Don’t be. Turn up. The dB Drag UK team will look after you.
