Windsor fire and rescue crews responded to two separate fires at an apartment building on Glengarry Avenue in the span of just over 13 hours.
The first broke out just before 9 p.m. Wednesday. The fire was out by 10 p.m. Investigators were unable to determine the cause of the fire.
Around 10:30 a.m. Thursday a second fire was reported in the same building.
The second fire was out around noon. Windsor Fire and Rescue Services called the Ontario Fire Marshal's office to help with the investigation.
Fire Prevention Officer Mike Coste reported that 11 people were assessed on the scene for smoke inhalation. Five people, including one fire, had to be taken to the hospital for treatment.
Glengarry Avenue between University Avenue and Wyandotte Street is now open to the public.
