To bring the GTI genes on the racetrack, Volkswagen has developed the Golf GTI TCR. 18-inch racing rims, a body that is roughly 15 centimetres wider than the production Golf, and a striking aluminium rear wing guarantee optimal handling. The 2-litre turbo engine with direct fuel injection generates 243 kW (330 hp) and produces 420 Nm of torque.
