Worst Parking Job In Westport (Good Cause Division)

On Friday I posted a story about bad parking lots.

Yesterday, an alert “06880” reader responded with a photo about bad parkers:

bad parking

“We expect this from Ferrari owners. But from a Prius?” the reader wrote.

What makes this especially odious is that it happened at the dedication of the new Dylan Hockley Memorial Playground at Long Lots Elementary School.

You know: the project that was all about giving back, paying it forward, and thinking about people other than ourselves.

  1. For everyone that knows I drive a blue Prius, it was not me! I was at the Volleyball banquet then off celebrating my birthday. Shame on the car’s owner.

  2. Looking at the photo, I’m wondering if they were trying to hog the shade. If so, double shame!

  3. Talking on the phone? Just wondering how anyone could do this!!

  4. Shameless!

Post the license plates. That might get this to stop.

Not my car, but I have a little “inside information” on this. I’m pretty sure that the person who parked that way did it hours before to, yes, take advantage of the shade, but without knowing of the dedication. That lot is not usually filled on a Saturday and taking two spaces would not normally be a problem. If it’s the person I think it is, they were probably horrified when they realized the lot became so crowded, and why.

    A multi – place – hogger driving a Prius. What a quandary!!!! A selfish tree-hugger!!!! It just doesn’t compute.

  8. Coming from a different perspective (trying to be positive) could they possibly be saving a parking spot for someone? Hope so.
